World Outreach

We desire to see God's Kingdom grow while people from every culture, nation, language group, and tribe turn from their sin to follow Jesus as Lord and Savior.  This will happen when adults and children alike hear the Gospel, respond by faith, and become growing disciples in healthy local churches.  We believe that Jesus is building his church and that the gates of Hell will not prevail against it.  It is our privilege to join the Chief Shepherd in his Great Commission!

MoNTHLY  Highlight

This month we pray for the monks associated with the Taungpulu Kaba Aye Monastery in Boulder Creek.  The monastery began in 1981 under the auspices of a Burmese Buddhist monk known as Taungpulu Tawya Kaba-Aye Sayadaw (a practitioner of Theravada Buddhism).  One of the monk's students, Rina Sircar (a teacher of Buddhist Studies in California), worked to establish both the monastery and its associated pagoda.  Sircar authored an account of Taungpulu Tawya Kaba-Aye Sayadaw available here.  You can read more about Sircar herself, and the monastery, at this link.  Please note that both articles are written in a manner sympathetic and supportive of Buddhism itself.

Pray this month for an opportunity to share the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ - and him alone - with the monks of this monastery.  Pray that the Holy Spirit will meet them with the truth of Creator God.  Pray that they will discover the Bible and find the truly "noble path" of discipleship after Jesus Christ.  Pray that these monks will learn the precious noble truths of salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, according to Scripture alone, for the glory of God alone.
