We celebrate our God-given charge to shepherd the children entrusted to this church family. Of course this charge belongs first to parents and natural families, but a slightly modified old saying is appropriate here - "It takes a church to raise a Christian."
It is our holy ambition to see all of the kids connected with this body following Jesus as their Savior and King. The following ministry tools and opportunities help us to accomplish this sacred mission:
Discipleship Desires Paradigm - The Discipleship Desires Paradigm encapsulates what we hope to teach our children as they grow. It helps to provide focus and foster intentionality in our various ministry efforts.
Worship Services - We want our children to learn and grow through participation in the corporate worship of the church. For this reason, we do not typically run a separate "children's church." We do, however, provide a "Parent's Room" separate from the main meeting space and available during service times.
Wednesday informal Night Gathering (WiNG) - We gather as a church on Wednesday evenings for WiNG. WiNG includes a breakout focus time dedicated to our kids.
Nursery - The nursery is a place of Gospel ministry, and not a spot for "babysitting." Our nursery serves children ages infant-5 yrs.
AWANA - FBC hosts AWANA as a mid-week, home-based Bible study ministry (click here for the AWANA page).
Children and Youth Worker Application - We ask all of those who regularly work with our children to complete an application form, a pastoral interview (as the pastors desire), and a criminal background check. These forms are updated on a periodic basis, depending on a person's connection with Felton Bible Church.
